Description
My stitched, hollow, paper sculptures can take months to complete, all the while pondering current events as I work. Full Spectrum was constructed as Roe v. Wade was deconstructed. It was a short leap from the fall of Roe v. Wade and the banning of books, to thinking about what other freedoms might be taken away. Taking this issue to a ridiculous conclusion led to Full Spectrum, a paper facsimile of a paint can. The paint bucket motif contains the rainbow of freedoms we have, while facetiously celebrating the freedom of paint choice, while we still have it.
