The Irregular Solids Neckpiece is part of the series of hand stitched collars that explore volume from a flat material – in this case hand-painted paste paper. Stitched paper medallions have been appliquéd to each of the five hollow forms. These parts are stitched to a curved segment and attached around the neck using a crocheted silk cord with a sterling silver clasp. The piece measures 6″ x 9″ x 3/4″ and hangs just below the collar bone.
