Luzon Dove in the Tall Grass Greeting Card

The Luzon Bleeding Heart Dove is known for a splash of bright red across it’s breast. This shy, secretive, and quiet bird lives in the Philippines mostly on the ground except when it is nesting. We are fortunate in Pittsburgh to be able to see them at the National Aviary.

This card is a photograph of an original composition made from Japanese handmade chiyogami papers with embroiderered accents. It was made for the Aviary to bring attention to some of their lesser known birds. It is @ 6″ h x 4″ w, blank inside, and comes with a white envelope.
