Too often the media is distracted by anything bright and shiny in an effort to attract viewers and earn money for advertisers. The current divided state of our country, and the resulting threat to democracy, is a direct result of chasing proceeds over providing factual information to the public. The media’s obsession with anything that will increase viewers is an abuse of our airwaves and has endangered all of us. (7″h x 13″ x 6″) Completed in 2023.
Materials: Mixture of paste paper, chiyogami, the ACLU Pocket Constitution, embroidery floss
Technique: Fabricated from cut, pieced, and pierced paper, hand-stitched and hollow formed
